2016 UTME candidates: The new Federal government policy on admission into tertiary institution has indeed come to stay. The Federal government through the Ministry of Education scrapped Post utme in all tertiary institutions in Nigeria and replaced it with admission screening.
The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board began its posting exercise in respect to this new policy.
Over 1.2 million candidates scored 180 and above in this year’s Jamb, thus posting candidates to their various school’s of choice is an herculean task to Jamb and can’t be done in just a day.
As one of Jamb’s press statement stated that “The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has given condition for the 2016 admissions, saying it will only give approval “after appropriate screening of the candidates by the institutions.”
So we advice candidates who have not been posted yet but scored 180 and above to get their respective screening form when its out and proceed for their screening.
NOTE: The cutoff mark for various courses varies depending on your school of choice,so its important that you follow up to date information about your school.
