This was stated by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Igbekele Ajibefun, at the signing of an affiliation agreement with the Bethel College of Education, Ijare, Ifedore Local Government Area of the State, on Wednesday, last week.
The agreement would allow the college to run its education-related courses in affiliation with the University’s Institute of Education.
Prof. Ajibefun further said that the University’s Institute of Education would ensure strict compliance with the rules and ethics guiding the programmes with the aim of ensuring high quality and standard of the programmes and their graduates.
He posited that the working relationship between the two institutions would be watered and given every needed incentive to grow and flourish. Prof. Ajibefun maintained that AAUA would diligently supervise the programmes to ensure compliance with best practices.
In his remark, the Provost the College, Dr. Joseph Adamolekun, thanked the University for approving the partnership and noted that the college has every necessary facility to guarantee quality learning and academic research.
He said the agreement would further bolster the rising profile of the college in the State and make it the preferred destination for those seeking a carrier in education and its affiliates. Present at the event were the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Administration), Prof. Olugbenga Ige; Registrar, Mr. Sunday Ayeerun; University Librarian, Dr Rotimi Egunjobi; Associate Director, Institute of Education, Dr. Jude Akomolafe; Head, Legal Unit, Mr. Peter Alede, among other university officials.
