Lagos State Examination Board Conducts CBT For 77 Pupils Into Junior Schools

The Lagos State Examinations Board has commenced the Year 2017 Screening Test for 77 Pupils that registered for Computer Based Testing version to seek admission into Lagos State Junior Model Colleges and Upgraded Junior Secondary Schools in the State.

Answering questions from journalists, the Director of the Board, Mr. Oluwafemi Hassan opined that the Computer Based Testing Version has been on since 2015 when only 17 registered for the test; in 2016, 54 candidates indicated interest and in 2017, 77 candidates registered for the test which was introduced to curb examination malpractices and eliminate cheating. 

While noting that by the Year 2018, the CBT would have five designated Centres across the five divisions of the State, Hassan implored the parents and guardians to encourage their wards to be computer literate in order to take advantage of many opportunities that will be available to them.

He also expressed appreciation to the State government for empowering the Board to conduct the CBT Version for the pupils.
