The matriculation ceremony for the newly admitted students into Olabisi Onabanjo University for the 2016/2017 Academic Session will hold on Wednesday, 23rd November, 2016 at the Lecture Theatre II, Main Campus. About six thousand, five hundred and eighty two freshmen were lucky to be offered admission across the Colleges and Faculties in the four Campuses of the University out of seventeen thousand, five hundred and forty students that sat for the PUTME examination.
The ceremony would be presided over by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Saburi Adejimi Adesanya in the presence of other Principal Officers. Provosts and Deans are expected to present their students for the mandatory matriculation oath taking while all matriculants are expected to be seated by 10.00a.m.
CRITERIA FOR COLLECTION OF ACADEMIC GOWNS
All College/Faculty Officers are expected to collect Academic Gowns for their fresh students from the Directorate of Students’ Affairs between Friday, 18th November, 2016 to Tuesday, 22nd November, 2016.
To this end, each fresh students are expected to pay the sum of One thousand Naira (N1,000.00) only through the University Point Of Sales machine (POS) and obtain receipts for the collection of the Academic Gowns at their various Colleges/Faculties.
After the Ceremony, each College/Faculty Officers shall be required to return the following to the Directorate of Students’ Affairs on or before Wednesday, 30th November, 2016.
All the Academic Gowns collected
Comprehensive list of students who collected the Gowns;
Original copies of receipts as evidence of payment made by students.
It is important to ensure full compliance with the above directive.
